海南沉香盛产于中国海南岛, 具有色深, 香味浓, 油脂多等特色, 堪称沉香药材中的极品, 海南沉香是沉香属当中较为有名, 特点是香气甜美, 浑厚, 甘甜清香雅正。北宋宰相丁谓, 在谪居崖州期间, 写下崖香名篇《天香传》。丁谓把海南沉喻为天香, 其实含有三层含义。

Hainan agarwood is rich in Hainan Island, China, with deep color, strong fragrance, oil and other characteristics, can be called the best in agarwood medicinal herbs, Hainan agarwood is more famous in the genus Agarwood, characterized by sweet aroma, thick, sweet and elegant fragrance. Prime Minister Ding of the Northern Song Dynasty, while living in Yazhou, wrote Yaxiang’s famous “Legend of Tianxiang”. Ding Wei metaphorized Hainan Shen as heavenly fragrance, which actually contains three meanings.
